The art institute of chicago webpage and trip looking at the AIC website can help people to know what to expect when going to the museum, and find all informations that they need so it was very helpful for me to look at it before visiting it on Monday. The Fountains by  Hubert Robert is  The painting of Classical ruins that  caught  my eye when  I   saw  it in person it was big but with small details and look very realist.  this painting is one of El Greco's best works and was his  first major Spanish commission and first large public work.  I chose this painting because of my father, El Greco was one the artists he admired.  Portrait of Ismail, Ambassador of the Persian Shah Tahmasp I painted by  Melchior Lorck   I had seen pictures of this painting in history books before so seeing it in person was intresting.  our day in art institute of chicago:

Blog #5: Love

Image
This painting describes a young woman's first encounter with love.   love is painted as the cupid with wings and a bow approaching the maiden. this art work also very detailed with vibrant colors, the more you spend time   looking at it the more you see . I think it portrays love as something that one day just comes naturally, as a beautiful figure in a garden which is unrealistic, but beautiful.    title:Love and the Maiden  Artist: John Roddam Spencer Stanhope   Date:1877

Blog #4:Color

I'm generally more drawn to the color green. I like different shades of green especially lighter shades, it's just something about it that attracts me to that color. the picture you see is of Polar stratospheric clouds, they are  most common in Antarctica, but have also been observed in the Arctic, Scotland, Scandinavia, Alaska, Canada and the northern Russia and form  during  winter. think they look very beautiful and unreal, almost like a painting. I wish they would appear in the sky everywhere. I hope to see them in real life one day.
